I'm not using the Zotac card, but I googled it and appears to be the same interface as the one in this post.
I added a few pictures to the blog post too.

In my case though, I'm using a regular/legacy PCI slot (32-bit/33MHz) card. Not a PCI-E, or PCI-X.

By the time I bought it, it was the best thing I could find that I could insert in my slots... maybe you have better options now.

I think this the zotac one https://www.zotac.com/gb/product/graphics_card/gt-610-pci (regular PCI too).

Whatever slot/interface you decide/can use, it should be around the same though.

You'll get lots of beeps at the beginning, but you can just wait and eventually it'll start showing using that card.
On debian 8 I didn't even need to install the firmware directly, but used the nvidia packages from the debian (probably non-free? ) repo. And the X server and its conf file was all set automatically, very nice.
Although as I posted, it stopped working on debian 9. You might try it on debian 8 or any other distro you have interest on (even if they don't have nvidia support, you'll probably just be able to install the linux modules using the firmware).

A DJ station sounds like fun. I really can't just recommend you ...Hey Daniel.
I really can't just recommend you apply or not... it's a decision and all, especially when you're just out of college.

>How is the work culture?
Efficiency-centered, but as a big company, there's a lot of bureaucracy. It can't be annoying sometimes if you're hacker minded. But in the end, it all depends on what group/team you work and all, so nothing is definite...

>Is it a good place to learn high quality japanese?
Still not fully "Englishnized", depending on your team, some/a good Japanese language ability is needed. And at least in the Japanese office, still most employees are Japanese, so at least you can practice. So, it can be, but most likely, it's not good a good place to learn "high quality" Japanese.

>Would I be able to survive with poor speaking ability if I have good reading ability?
Totally. I think there are people coming here with no Japanese language skills whatsoever.

>Are you working on linux related things?
Yes, I'm a SYS engineer, which is like a systems specialist, and most of our servers are GNU/Linux. But if you're an application guy, you'll be using w*ndows or mac for your terminal, and right now, we're forced to either use mac or w*ndows in at least one computer for company communications, intra systems, etc...

>Does rakuten do any systems programming?
systems programming? I don't quite get your question, but at least for programming stuffs, again, depending on your team/group, you'll be mostly "designing" the program/application, rather than writing it. So if you are imagining writing code all day long, for most groups/teams, I think that's not the case...

Anyway, I guess the best reply I can give you overall, is that it depends on what you want to do^^.
If you're interested in a Rakuten service, and to maintain/improve it, etc. That's a good start to choose it as your place to work. You might also be interested in just the things they do, like Search systems and stuffs, or systems in general. Please check out the new grads page: http://global.rakuten.com/corp/careers/engineering/. The recruitment guys will probably be glad to answer to your questions, and if you come to the office, to give you a tour or something, and talk to actual employees, which will probably satisfy you a lot more than just asking an employee on his blog;D.

I hope this helps. If you do choose this company, and get it, please invite me for lunch or something.rikijpnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11964639797022470535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235998570069782586.post-52205087475529612682014-04-29T16:03:07.545+09:002014-04-29T16:03:07.545+09:00Hello rikijpn, hope you're still monitoring th...Hello rikijpn, hope you're still monitoring the comments.

I've just graduated and I'd like to wonder if you'd recommend applying to rakuten? I know, at least you're a psycho you wouldn't this kind of thing... but I figure she's just trying to make an excuse on her mind it was the right decision, and/or probably she needed the money or her new boyfriend told her to, whatever.

It was both the best and worst relationship I ever had... I wish she hadn't gone psycho and had continued our lives together and all, but after all the horrible things she has made go through.... ah...
Advice from author: when you go crazy of heels for a girl, try to also get along with her friends (even the fucking asshole ones), or get common friends so when she gets too much stress she can talk to someone with a common perspective, and won't blame you for her problems or stuffs like that... but most importantly, when she's easily influenced by people, talk and make her understand she can make her own decisions, and to think of the reasons carefully...
That's the story of the peak (then) and the bottom(now) of the happiness in my life.
rikijpnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11964639797022470535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235998570069782586.post-62389310689682660172013-08-02T23:43:52.037+09:002013-08-02T23:43:52.037+09:00This comment has been hidden from the blog.rikijpnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11964639797022470535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235998570069782586.post-90384367591234474602013-08-02T22:36:32.057+09:002013-08-02T22:36:32.057+09:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15172455019835174070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235998570069782586.post-25628936558798740742013-06-27T02:30:18.974+09:002013-06-27T02:30:18.974+09:00Thanks for speedy reply.
